Acronym | MobileSage (Reference Number: aal-2010-3-050) |
Duration | 07/07/2011 - 07/01/2014 |
Project Topic | MobileSage aims to provide elderly people with context-sensitive, personalized and locationsenstive tools which allow them to carry out and solve everyday tasks and problems in the self-serve society when and were they occur, “just-in-time”. Many elderly wants useful, user friendly and personalized ICT services that add value to their active and mobile life and that can help them to stay active and mobile despite various impairments. Here MobileSage provides a timely approach and solution. Two innovative services are provided for the advancements of older people's independence and mobility in the daily life, in particular in transportation and travel. In this way, the Mobile Sage project targets the main objectives of the AAL Call 3 for solutions enhancing the inclusion of the elderly in the self-serve information society. The MobileSage system is instantiated by a personal agent on the smartphone, which provides a help-on-demand service. This service offers relevant, accessible and usable content upon request, in the form of multimodal and personalized instruction and guidance, enabling people to help themselves. The type and media mode of the help is adapted to the user’s own profile and preferences. A second service enables and promotes the users’ own generation of such help providing accessible and usable content. This will make the MobileSage relevant and useful even for secondary and tertiary end-users. The project consortium has 9 members and 1 subcontractor, covering the whole value chain of research, development, industry and usage. The members are from Norway, Spain, United Kingdom and Romania. Pilots and user trials will be organized in three of the countries, Norway, Spain and Romania. |
