Project: Policies for inclusive, demand-oriented and target group-specific automated mobility solutions for cities
Acronym | CATAPULT (Reference Number: 99950010) |
Duration | 01/03/2021 - 28/02/2023 |
Project Topic | The overall project objective is to adapt urban policies for enhancing target group-specific, inclusive and demand-oriented automated mobility solutions in cities and urban regions. The needs of potential user groups of these services, their willingness to adopt them, and suited use cases, have been underrepresented in the development process so far. Therefore, they will be detected, analysed and validated on a laboratory scale. The potential user groups include children, elderly persons and persons with temporary and long-term sensory and/or physical impairments. Empirical research consisting of field studies will be conducted with these user groups. The feasibility to provide theirdemanded mobility services as well as the potential impacts of demand-oriented automated mobility solutions, will be examined. A co-creative process will be supported by a serious game to understand the needs, barriers, drives and interactions among users, policy makers and mobility service providers, and to search for jointly supported solutions. The study will be developed in synergy with European projects, which aim at the deployment of shared and electrified automation. CATAPULT will provide essential components for the development of practical step-by-step policy recommendations for policy makers and mobility service providers and proof of concept tools for empowerment through co-creative development. |
