Project: European Pattern Recognition - Renewable Energy Impact

This project will be lead by Metrum AB with assistance of competent actors from Sweden, Norway and Turkey, utilising the existing knowledge, share and expand. The project addresses the common European challenge of integration of renewable energy into the power system and at the same time maintain stability, increase capacity, increase flexibility and improve security of supply, power quality. This will be achieved through exploring a few selected methods of measurement and analysis like pattern recognition, create technical innovative solutions, which can be applied into the power system on a global basis. This will include looking into proactive maintenance, power consumption, micro grids, power regulation through voltage control, hosting capacity and enertia support. Measurements and testing will be performed in four demonstration projects, where results and hypothesis will be verified. An overall objective is to share knowledge from the project results through the Knowledge Community.
