Project: From local peak shaving to regional load shaping, a transnational demonstration initiative
Main scope of the project is to foster field experience, practicability and economic benefit of energy services solutions under a future energy market with an increasing importance of decentralised production within a smart grid. It will be applied in a transnational environment with selected partners from 3 utilities in the D-A-CH countries and accompanied with the relevant research institutions for 3 layers. The economic value shall be derived under direct and indirect benefits from local distribution grid with help of traffic light principle in the short and long run perspective. In fact the project will develop local peak shaving mechanism towards a regional load shaping in an adequate industrial application. The research targets are manifold: the acceptance of stakeholders, particularly discos and prosumers for the offered solutions and the models of impact control within smart distribution grid e.g. the traffic light principle, new flexible grid tariff solutions, network planning.
