| Project Topic | This project will lead to a technology that converts existing confocal microscopes into an instrument with 40% better resolution, and can work perfectly in the infrared (800 - 1000nm) wavelength range, allowing to image 1 mm deep into the tissue / specimen without the need for any specialised equipment other than a conventional microscope setup with a low-power (no damaging) laser. By integrating novel labeling and sample preparation protocols, a depth of 5 mm for is aimed for. |
