| Project Topic | This project will address a requirement from component manufacturers (e.g. automotive) for a lightweight, structural, affordable material that can be processed in high volumes. The material, which consists of a thermoplastic flowable core layer between engineered textile reinforcements (Annex, Figs 1&2), will combine the structural performance of continuous fibre-reinforced composites with the geometrical complexity and short process times normally associated with injection moulding. |
