| Project Topic | B-vitamins are high value compounds used in the feed and food industries and currently 6 of 8 B-vitamins are produced by hazardous chemical processes. In ToBeBio, Biosyntia and FGen will combine their proprietary technology platforms for combinatorial engineering and sophisticated high throughput screening to develop microbial cells for biobased vitamin manufacturing. The final result will be a strain that enables sustainable and highly cost-competitive production of a specific B-vitamin. |
