Project: New nano-carbon sponge material for efficient oil-spill control in vulnerable ocean environments

The G*sorb project will develop, formulate, qualify by testing at sea a new class of environmental protection products, based on nano-carbon materials derived from natural flake graphite, for efficient adsorption and removal of oil spills in vulnerable ocean environments including Arctic / cold water zones as well as in Mediterranean / warmer water areas across the globe. The project will deliver a whole new class of products and procedures to enable a radically better oil-spill response.
