| Project Topic | We wish develop and demonstrate a novel and cost-effective Ballast Water Treatment Solution (BWTS) for the global shipping industry based on microfluidic technology and a novel physical method of crushing micro-organisms. We will produce a prototype BWTS system with no moving parts that can be used on cruise ships, tankers and bulk cargo carriers to remove all particles and oil fractions down to 500 nm and liquidate all bacteria and viruses below 500 nm. |
