| Project Topic | Build a prototype robot collector which picks battery-containing items from waste electronics (WEEE) under realistic conditions. We will use standard RGB-D cameras and suitable lights to video the WEEE as it travels on the conveyer. We will segment the images, classify the items of interest, pick them with a robot and place them in output bins. Research focuses on minimizing the classifier training phase and optimizing classification despite lighting variation and clutter, plus proper evaluation |
