| Project Topic | The aim of the project is to develop a process for braiding of staple fibres with no twist in the final product in order to align the fibres in load direction and with cost reduction of 65 %. Using bast fibres like flax instead of glass fibres energy consumption of these biocomposites can be reduced by 75 % with comparable mechanical properties (see Fig. 1 in ANNEX). We will deliver a biobased field hockey stick as a demonstration case for high value applications. |
