Project: Brightness Enhanced Multimode Laser System
The goal of this project is to develop a compact and efficient high-power laser source with ultra-high brightness for use in micro and macro materials processing applications. Leveraging the unique power and beam quality of customized multi-wavelength medium brightness diode laser systems by employing a tailored fiber master-oscillator power-amplifier more than 2 kW of power will be generated in and delivered from small diameter multimode fibers with a core thinner than a human hair.
