Project: Small and large targeting nanoparticles for treatment of head and neck cancer
Through a complementary consortium, we will provide a preclinical proof-of-concept for an innovative anti-cancer treatment with magnetic hyperthermia, to be used as a basis for subsequent clinical trials on head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). We will deliver small nanoparticles with high targeting efficacy for treatment of metastases and large ones with superior heating efficacy for destruction of primary tumors. We will also use a therapeutic antibody to improve targeting efficiency.
