Project: Developing new tools for epigenetic analysis of RNA molecules using the SIMDEQ sequencing platform.
RNA plays a key role in the control of gene expression, but few good tools exist for direct RNA analysis. The goal of this project is to develop our SIngle-molecule Magnetic DEtection & Quantification (SIMDEQ) platform to improve the simplicity and accuracy of analysing RNA, an important molecule in personalised medicine. Specifically, this project will enable 1) the high resolution mapping of RNA isoforms 2) the full sequencing of native RNA molecules and 3) the detection of RNA modifications.
