Project: Intelligent, automated and cost-effective breast cancer screening
IBSCREEN aims to reinvent automated mammogram analysis by applying Deep Learning. It will result in computer-assisted detection (CAD) systems that enable greatly improved patient stratification through a unique combination of mammogram analyses at global (density, texture) and local (masses, microcalcifications) levels. This will significantly lower breast cancer screening costs while increasing quality, by smart stratification of women who may benefit from additional imaging or reading.
