Project: Production line for PVD coatings on bipolar plates for fuel cells
Design and manufacture a prototype physical vapor deposition (PVD) deposition system and develop a high speed coating process showing that it is possible to manufacture a fully automated production line for PVD coatings on bipolar plates (BPP) for fuel cells. In addition, pre- and post-treatment with respect to the PVD deposition including, cleaning, welding, inspection and validation for zero fault will be developed. The deposition process will be developed using the Ceramic MaxPhase coating.
