Project: Surface Crack and Universal Total Inspection and NDT Surface Examination
The thrust of the SCRUTINISE project is to develop a novel equipment for detection of surface cracks on a wide range of materials as metals, polymers and concrete. It will be a non-contact, inexpensive and extremely rapid system based on a newly patented laser illumination process that can examine and automatically detect the flaws. The equipment includes specially designed software that will automate the detection process to enable operation of the system by relatively unskilled personnel.
