Project: Decontamination of polluted groundwaters using peat activated with iron compounds

Consortium is seeking to develop a technology and equipment for production of new filtering material for removal of complex mixtures of contaminants (organics and heavy metals) from solutions by smartly combining two today used technologies: production of a peat granulate-based sorbent and a iron hydrozol (FFH). The end product delivered to the market will be a new type of material able simultaneously removing pollutants of versatile chemical composition from process water and groundwater.
