Project: Next generation nonlinear crystals for UV lasers
A new generation of nonlinear crystals for frequency converting laser light into the UV spectral region will be developed. It is the objective to gain full control of the damage mechanisms. All aspects arising from the requirements of a typical laser production shall be addressed. After the project, the partners will benefit from simplified handling as a result of an innovative post treatment and improvement of lifetime by crystal growth optimization.
