Project: System of passive SAW sensors exploiting UWB hyperbolically frequency modulated signals
Laboratory prototype of Temperature measurement sensor system will be developed exploiting Ultra Wide Band (UWB) Hyperbolically Frequency Modulated (HFM) signals (patent of GVR, "NILSAW" Eurostars project). Up to 10 passive SAW sensors (no battery) can be interrogated by one “reader” radiating very low <10 mW EM power. HFM signals simplify communication algorithm between the reader and sensors and reduce RF power. Low radiated RF power makes system suitable for medical application.
