| Project Topic | The aim is the utilization of lignocellulosic waste to obtain valuable prebiotic ingredients, xylooligosaccharides (XOS) by the application of developed technology that requires optimization for industrial scale-up. The biocatalyst based technology comes from a previous EU project LIGNOFOOD. The two participating SMEs are willing to exploit the project results and return the investment by reaching a industrial production scale (TRL6) and XOS commercialization in <3 years. |
