| Project Topic | Develop two innovative products to be used in a bone anchored prosthesis of transfemoral amputees: (i) a transcutaneous connector equipped with an antibacterial Normmed Silver Coating (by Sol-Gel Method) and (ii) a custom mechanical fuse that prevents excessive loads to be transferred to the residual bone. These innovations will be developed and clinically tested in parallel to prove its safety and efficacy. Both are a competitive advantage over other products on the market. |
