| Project Topic | The project "BrushtoCut" aims to develop a turnkey ready technology package for the adapted manufacturing of complex shaped cutting edges of cutting tools by means of machine tool integrated 5-axis brushing (Fig. 4). The manufacturing of process-specific cutting edge geometries will be possible for the first time and leads to an increases in cutting tool life of up to 300 %. The technology package encompasses three modules, combining brushing tools, process knowledge and process planning. |
