Project Topic | The project will deliver a mechatronic tool holder to provide a solution to the three problems that currently limit productivity in internal turning operations: tool vibrations, tool deformations and chip jamming. The tool holder will include active damping vibration suppression, force measurement, tool and process modelling, communication with the machine tool controller and cloud connectivity. A prototype will be manufactured for system validation in a relevant environment. |
