Project Topic | We want to design a Reduced-Draft Spar (RDS) floating platform to support a 10+ MW wind turbine. The RDS, made of concrete, is cheap, mass producible and barely moves the nacelle. We will build a model, and develop and test at a basin 3 items to further reduce the motions: the turbine controller, the Anti-Heeling and Ballast System and the Anti-Rolling Tanks. We will obtain the Class Approval in Principle to give confidence to potential stakeholders, delivering the information they require |
