| Project Topic | The consortium plans to develop a novel solution for seamless highway traffic monitoring based on Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS). This new sensor technology allows to measure vibrations using standard telecommunication cables that are available next to all modern highway infrastructure. At the project end the consortium will be able to deliver, install and maintain a DAS based highway monitoring system with efficient decentralized cloud computing functionalities. |
