| Project Topic | We will jointly develop ultra-compact, tunable and narrow-band laser systems capable of the most demanding sensing applications. The external cavity diode laser (ECDL) is based on a hybrid assembly approach using GaAs laser diodes combined with a silicon-nitride photonic integrated circuit (PIC). This combination enables us to build a laser resonator with a very high quality factor on a tiny footprint, i.e., telecom butterfly stype packaging. See annex 1 for schematic pictures. |
