| Project Topic | We want to precisely weld optical fibers to single-photon detectors. In this consortium a leading detector manufacturer and an optical fiber equipment company join forces with an academic research group to develop a new versatile process equipment for the fusion of single photon detectors to optical fibers with sub-micrometer positioning accuracy. This project will enable production of integrated light detectors at a far lower cost and higher quality than with current fabrication processes. |
