A new DNA-based test, which should be routinely implemented in national environmental monitoring programs all over Europe within the Water Framework Directive (WFD) 2000/60 /EC and CEN standards in a near future (complementing and/or replacing the traditional ecological assessments obtained after morpho-taxonomy methodology), will be delivered. |
