| Project Topic | NanoSmartBI will design antibiotic-loaded Nanocapsules (ALNCs), based on a novel biocompatible and biodegradable polyurethane platform (ECOSTRATAR®), that masks the antibiotic molecular structure by transforming it into a new entity not detectable by bacteria. With this novel delivery system, existing antibiotic treatments can be transformed into targeted therapies against infections caused by drug-resistant strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, thus improving the therapeutic index. |
