| Project Topic | The consortium will introduce a sustainable bio-coating platform to extend the shelf-life of fruit. Our platform consists of 1) a breakthrough liquid coating, Banana-Seal, which creates a protective layer to reduce water loss, physical stress, and contamination, 2) an innovative coating applicator, to apply the coating to the fruit. By the end of the project, the consortium will be able to perform large-scale demonstration of its bio-coating platform, starting with coating for bananas. |
