Project Topic	ACCELERATE will deliver ProtonPET: a type IIb medical device and the first non-invasive technology that enables real-time, dose localization in 3D during proton therapy. By monitoring precisely where in the patient the dose is delivered, ProtonPET can guide the proton beam to optimize the treatment, making it more effective and safer for patients. At the end of this project, the consortium will deliver a technically validated ProtonPET, ready to initiate clinical validation studies.
