| Project Topic | Develop a compact, closed loop system that transforms organic waste to food. Food waste, as a feedstock for anaerobic digestion, can power a vertical farm. The heat generated will be used for climate control. CO2 will be extracted from biogas and used in the farm. The fertilizer produced by the anaerobic digestion process will be used to produce crops. No fossil fuels. No artificial fertilizers. The closed-loop Hyperlocal Urban Farm: a breakthrough in waste upcycling and high-density farming. |
