| Project Topic | We will develop a stand-alone endomicroscopy system capable of acquiring histology images in real time and in-vivo. The images can be readily interpreted by histopathologists for clinical diagnosis of cancerous tissue during endoscopic procedures, e.g., in the gastro-intestinal tract and the brain. The technique will be based on coherent Raman imaging, that allows direct identification of tissue components based on their chemical structure. |
