| Project Topic | The FILAMENTS4FUSION project will develop a special 3D filamentized metal substrate suitable for fabrication of high temperature superconducting tapes for fusion energy production. The superconducting thin film material REBCO is deposited on the 3D filamentized metal tape resulting in a multi-filamentized superconductor. This type of superconductor is uniquely suited for both high magnetic field applications like tokamak fusion magnets and AC power applications, and electric aircraft engines. |
