Project: Full automated Laser-based fiber deposition welding for quartz glass products

Project Topic	In this project a demonstrator machine for an automated laser based welding process will be developed. For the first time, this will enable manufacturing of quartz wares for the semiconductor industry. This will substitute the expensive and time consuming manual welding process. The consortium will develop welding equipment and process technology. To accomplish the challenging temperature driven process, a novel in-line monitoring system, design rules and a simulation case will be established.
