| Project Topic | ESSteam aims to develop a new generation of high vacuum flat solar panels (HVFPs) capable to generate steam at 10bar. To achieve this ambition the project will research and develop an innovative selective solar absorber (SSA). The SSA will be integrated into an upgraded HVFP which will be demonstrated at small scale through an optimised solar thermal system for all year round steam generation at South European climates (GHI>1500kWh/m2/year) with an average annual conversion efficiency of >45%. |
