Project Topic	Building on the success of our wound healing (WH) prediction device for bowel surgery, we aim to develop a new device that is applicable to any soft-tissue (laparoscopic) surgery. With this new objective WH indicator based on simultaneous measures of systolic blood pressure on the organs and arm, surgeons can determine if the tissue they are about to suture has high probability to heal adequately. OBTAIN presents an opportunity to improve surgery success and thus, save lives and reduce costs.
