| Project Topic | The consortium will provide proof-of-concept for a novel treatment for Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). The candidate compounds within this consortium are based on Roscovitine, a kinase inhibitor that, in recent collaboration with the pharma company Genzyme, was demonstrated to arrest cyst formation in mouse models of PKD. The consortium will optimize and select drug candidates, and perform preclinical safety and efficacy studies to prepare for clinical development within 18m after the project. |
