| Project Topic | We want to reduce global concrete production’s annual CO2 emissions by 4 million tonnes and energy use by 819 million KWh by adapting wastewater treatment technology. Ultrafine bubbles (UFB <1 micron) have unique properties and can behave like nanoparticles. Building on existing research into UFB in concrete, we will develop a tuneable UFB generator optimised to increase precast concrete strength and reduce set times enabling faster production of concrete or reduced material and energy use. |
