| Project Topic | We will develop a low-cost, simple and mobile subjective refraction device to enable the measurement of refractive error (short-/long-sightedness) in patients. The device determines the dioptre required for a pair of corrective lenses. The device is a game-changer for less developed regions of the world, where costs of vision care and lack of access to trained professionals limit provision of eye glasses. The innovative device will also be of interest to opticians in high-income countries. |
