| Project Topic | The consortium will design, construct, produce and deliver the world’s first commercial automated mobile tomato picking robot (hereafter TPR). The robot will pull a cart to gentle collect the tomatoes and bring them to the packaging area. The TPR will automatically identify and judge maturity, cut and collect the tomatoes from the plants in the greenhouses. The TPR will also automatic de-leaf the plants and re-charge batteries on the fly. The market is tomato-producing greenhouses worldwide. |
