Project: TRAining Capabilities for Efficient CAR Driving

THE PROJECT and EUROPEAN NEEDS_x000D__x000D_The project aim at taking a PROVEN CONCEPT combining INNOVATIVE RECORDING TECHNOLOGY IN THE CAR and with the latest knowledge in the area of TRAFFIC TRAINING PEDAGOGIC to develop a total IT based training concept for Driving Instructors cars. _x000D__x000D_This concept that has the potential of creating a quantum leap in training efficiency as well as meeting some of the new demands in current and coming European directives within the traffic training area._x000D_This is especially the so called Large Car Directive ( 2003/59/CE) that commences September 2008 and the expected directive and recommendations from the European GDE Matric workshops for class B training._x000D_ _x000D_Training in the cars and on the road is the most commonly used way of training drivers. Making it easier to UNDERSTAND complex issues, increases COMPETENCE and result in IMPROVED BEHAVIOUR and more conscious driving. Providing tools that enhances this process will effect on the safety of the individuals and have a major effect for society._x000D__x000D_The initial tests prove that by combining the “right recording functionality” with the latest knowledge of the way youths learn, understand and act in, will create QUANTUM leap in training efficiency. _x000D_ _x000D_With this project we want to speed up the development of a cost effective innovative tools for drivers training. This through an association of Norwegian, French and Romanian SME’s. Companies with complementary competences and skills. These SME’s will be supported by 2 academicals institutions in the field of research in transportation area._x000D__x000D_PROJECT GOALS_x000D_The project goal is to develop VERY COST EFFECTIVE solutions to the 5 key areas of modern traffic training:_x000D__x000D_- A TOOL FOR IMMEDIATE FEEDBACK_x000D_An improved tool for “Immediate feedback” in the instruction car that supports recent research of the importance of immediate “pit-stops” and structured reflections._x000D__x000D_- TO SIMPLIFY AND STRUCTURE VOLUME TRAINING_x000D_To make the VERY IMPORTANT volume training with parents more effective and coordinated with the driving schools teaching process_x000D__x000D_- EASIER UNDERSTANDING OF COMPLEX TRAFFIC ISSUES_x000D_To make it easier to UNDERSTAND complex ethical and traffic matters in order to create better behavior. (Understand is the basics for changed behavior)_x000D__x000D_- ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY DRIVING_x000D_To create an understanding of the PERSONAL benefits and effects of environmental friendly driving._x000D__x000D_- SAFE DRIVING_x000D__x000D_The intention is to create an effective tools that fit the very informal training processes used by some schools as well as the very structured processes s used by others._x000D__x000D__x000D_STRENGTHS OF THE PROJECT:_x000D__x000D_– COMBINING NORWEGIAN AND FRENCH EDUCATION SYSTEM STRENGTHS_x000D_France and Norway have two of Europe’s most developed driving education processes_x000D_France: the most logical structure_x000D_Norway: the most detailed process_x000D__ The aim is to combine the strength of both_x000D__x000D_– PROJECT BASED ON MARKET NEEDS_x000D_- Energy consumption and environmental protection_x000D_- Safety on the road_x000D_- Meeting the Large Car Directive`s need_x000D__x000D_ – A SMART COMBINATION OF TECHNOLOGIES_x000D_Innovative technology and product associated with performance service packages_x000D__x000D_– A MULTICOMPETENCES ALLIANCE _x000D_Full range of competences from the users, teaching organisations, marketing, R&D and advanced technology Ps._x000D__x000D__x000D_EXPECTED BENEFITS_x000D_By fast track developing the Advanced Technology, Advanced Applications and Pedagogic Tools, into a low cost, easy to use system will have below effect: have the potential of creating a shift in how traffic training in cars is executed. _x000D__x000D_A generally enhanced competence level will result in more cautious driving, lower cost to society and reduced individual grief. _x000D_

Project Topic	The project aims to develop pan-European methods and tools for effective drivers training solutions. Through an association of SME's with complementary competence provide a step change opportunity in line with recent research on how traffic competence should be taught.
Project Results (after finalisation)	Tracecard new technology for all type of driving licences are available and ready to be commercialized on the market. The project had some starting problems due to the fact that the Rumanian software P had to withdraw due to change of Rumanian Eurostars procedures, secondly due to the fact that the acceptance of one of the french P was withdrawned, forcing us to modify our role. The delay had particulary occurred during 2011 and the closing of development has been delayed until March 2012. AEMO has spend a lot of R & D money in this project as shown in table 3B1 (overall figures of the company ) and table 4D1 R&D (outgoings for the project) . The CO observation is that there is no creation of incomes yet, but we hope to reverse the trend with commercialization of the products and licences.
