Project: Thermoelectric High-efficiency smart Energy Recovery for Modern Ovens

Project Topic	According to GfK the A class ovens represents about 40% of the market with a trend in increasing market share. Therefore in a few years, thanks to energy label, a virtuous circle started and energy efficiency is a strong reason to purchase. This push the industry toward developing more efficient device with a progressive diffusion of A+++ ovens, where each sign after the A means -10% of consumption. State-of-the-art solutions are aimed at reducing consumption but insulation reached is technological limits in current production, for such reason THERMO instead of increasing the insulation recover waste energy during oven cooling phase, convert it into electricity and store it for future use. It will be carried out by two highly innovative companies: Bluethink (coordinator) an Italian society specialized in technology transfer with wide experience in the field of thermal analysis and product development and Rigel Technologies based in Turkey that is specialised in thermal measurement and design. The project will develop an highly efficient smart system applicable both on domestic and commercial ovens based on waste thermal energy recovery during oven cooling phase.
