Project: Molecularly imprinted nanofluidic biosensors for the detection of human derived proteins
Acronym | MINaFBioS (Reference Number: MNET19/ADMA-3683) |
Project Topic | MINaFBioSen project intends to associate the molecularly imprinting technology to the assemblies of conducting polymers and graphene, and to generate specificity to certain human derived proteins – a totally new approach of what molecularly imprinting technology represents now. MINaF-BioSen will perform the electrochemical simulation, design and development of integrated nano-fluidic sensing technology and achieve the laboratory proof of concept. MINaF-BioSen will offer an innovative feasible solution of a testing device for monitoring of beta-amyloid peptide from Alzheimer’s Disease patients. Under the global Alzheimer’s Disease market, predicted to reach $14.8 billion by 2026, the project support to the development of the European know-how on integrated biosensors and related bioelectronics may bring an important economic advantage for EC by comparing to actual situation on market, led by North America and Japan. |
