Aim of the joint call Net-Biome 1st joint call for proposals aims at addressing the 3 following collaborative research themes identified as priorities by ORs and OCTs: A.The use, evaluation and valuation of biodiversity and the services and resources it provides, underpinning the sustainable use of natural resources (e.g. agriculture and fisheries) and including those with important cultural and aesthetic resonances B.Improving Spatial Planning and Coastal Zone Management in order to support the sustainable management and use of biodiversity (marine and terrestrial) in the context of human pressures and global change C.Characterising biodiversity (from gene to ecosystem level and through to landscape) and the drivers of its evolution in a way that will enhance local capacity and improve policy decision-making Projects financed under this Joint Call will need to establish linkages through interdisciplinary cooperation. Studies integrating or centred on Human and Social Sciences are strongly encouraged.
