OCEANERA-NET First Joint Call 2014

Basic Information

Public funding will be provided by 11 national / regional funding organisations in 8 countries – Belgium (Flanders), France, Ireland, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom. Organisations from other countries or not requesting funding can also participate, as long as they guarantee their own funding. Eligible applicants, budget limits, financial rates and eligible activities vary between countries / funding organisations: potential applicants must check national rules and contact their respective funding organisations prior to submitting a proposal. Total requested funding per proposal should not exceed €2million. Funding will be granted for a maximum of three years or according to national regulations.

Aim of the joint call The aim of OCEANERA-NET is to support coordination and cooperation of national/regional research programmes in ocean energy. This First Joint Call for proposals aims to enable collaborative research, development and innovation projects to tackle current challenges for the development and competitiveness of ocean energy technologies: Wave Energy, Tidal Energy, Tidal and Ocean Currents, Salinity Gradient and Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion. We will support transnational consortia with a minimum of two independent partners from at least 2 countries participating in the call. Balanced consortia with high added value of transnational collaboration and with SMEs or large industry involvement are encouraged.
