Project: Competitive wood based interior materials and systems for modern wood construction
We spend 90% of our lives inside buildings and this affects our physical and psychological health and comfort. However, the significance of human well-being in constructions, is poorly understood. the effect of indoor environments is enhanced in care and living spaces: the growing demand for healthy buildings could open new opportunities for wood. Sustainable development is also increasing in importance. Hence materials and products with environmentally, socially and economically sound values should have an advantage if they can deliver competitive performance. the aim of Wood2New is to reinforce and improve the competitiveness of wood based interior products and systems based on these values.
