EU and New Zealand successfully conclude Horizon Europe association negotiations
The European Commission and New Zealand Government have concluded the negotiations for association of New Zealand to Horizon Europe. It is expected that from 2023, researchers and organisations in New Zealand will be able to participate in Pillar II of Horizon Europe. This includes areas in climate, energy and mobility, digital, industry and space, health, and participation in Europen Partnerships.
International cooperation in research and innovation is a strategic priority for the Commission. The association policy supports the ’Global Approach to Research and InnovationSearch for available translations of the preceding’ and reconfirms Europe's commitment to a level of global openness needed to drive excellence, pool resources for faster scientific progress and develop vibrant innovation ecosystems.
