EU Industry Days 2023

The EU Industry Days are Europe’s flagship annual event focussing on key industrial policy discussions, connecting industrial frontrunners, and boosting the knowledge base of European industry. It serves as an open forum to discuss industrial challenges and co-create solutions and policy responses in an inclusive dialogue with a wide range of partners from industry, EU countries, civil society organisations, universities, and citizens.

The EU Industry Days 2023 will take place in Málaga between 4 - 6 October 2023.

Annual Report on Public-Public Partnerships 2022 published

The Annual Report on Public-Public Partnerships 2022 has now been published. It has been prepared by the ERA-LEARN project team using data provided by the P2P networks. The report provides a summary of the strategic work undertaken by ERA-LEARN during 2022; updates the mapping diagrams prepared for the 2021 Annual Report to reflect the ongoing transition of P2P networks to the new European Partnership landscape; and provides an updated picture of the evolving P2P landscape in relation to calls, committed budgets and transnational projects. It also highlights examples of good practice and achievements from networks during 2022 as they seek to address specific challenges and create a wider impact within the community, in an increasingly collaborative manner.

Adoption of the PKH opinion on the 2nd batch of European Partnerships

The Partnership Knowledge Hub (PKH) adopted in May this year an Opinion addressed to the European Commission on the second batch of European Partnerships to be launched under the Second Strategic Plan (2025-2027). Building on lessons learnt from the selection of the European Partnerships launched under the First Strategic Plan (2021-2024) as well as on available evidence, the PKH Opinion focuses on recommendations for the selection process of the second batch of European Partnerships. The Opinion is currently being prepared for publication on European Partnerships in Horizon Europe (europa.eu). PKH is an Expert Group set up in 2021 to advise the European Commission in the implementation of the strategic coordinating process for European Partnerships, and to provide a forum for coordination and cooperation with Member States, Associated Countries and relevant stakeholders.

ERA-LEARN Webinar: Synergies with Cohesion Policy Funds

On 10 May, ERA-LEARN hosted a webinar to provide a space for discussion and mutual learning on the implementation of synergies between European Partnerships and Cohesion Policy funds.

ERA-LEARN Report on Challenges of Widening Countries in European Partnerships

ERA-LEARN published a report that presents the results of an ERA-LEARN survey on the early organisational and national experiences in the creation and implementation of European Partnerships. The goal of the survey was to collect information about the challenges and opportunities national and regional stakeholders in EU Members States and Associated Countries are facing in the process of development and implementation of the partnerships.

ERA-LEARN Webinar: Implementation of co-funded European Partnerships

On 27 April, ERA-LEARN hosted a webinar to provide additional support for the implementation of co-funded European Partnerships. The main topics of the webinar were the current status of European Partnerships, their governance, the implementation of co-funded European Partnerships and the management of finances and calls.

The Horizon Europe work programme 2023 / 2024 expects 8 new European Partnerships to start in addition to the 41 partnerships already in place. Further Partnerships are expected for the 2nd Strategic Plan (2025-2027). An overview on the European Partnership Portfolio is available on the ERA-LEARN website. All partnerships, their calls and funded projects are also part of the ERA-LEARN database.
